Our second trip to Folleux this season had us solving a few more issues. After Peter finished the installation of the AIS and the converter, he tackled my biggest pet peave: like on many sailboats, there’s no where a couple can sit or lie side by side on board, except in one of the berths. Watching the sunset on deck or catching a movie down below isn’t nearly as nice when your sweetheart has to sit on a separate banquette.
We solved the problem down below by installing a fold out bench to the galley banquette using folding and locking brackets and particle board. With the addition of a seat cushion, this solution creates a 3rd berth, in addition to providing a nice place to snuggle up. Comfortable, practical and pretty nice-looking!
